On the Model 12 Left Chaise Sofa Bed the detailing is restrained, with piping on the arms and on the back and lumbar cushions. A medium to firm seat sits on zig-zag springs beneath two foam layers, and the cushions are 60% recycled silicone fibre to 40% foam cuttings. Clips join the two units so nothing slides, and the legs are metal with plastic glides. Put it together with Swyft-Lok fastenings, no tools.

Two storage compartments sit under the seats, 102 litres in one compartment, 114 in the other, 216 in total. Open it and the sleeping area is 201 by 125.5cm, arms off if preferred. This one is upholstered in Chenille Flax: a gently textured chenille with a velvet cast, a soft flaxen neutral, warm rather than grey. Packed into four boxes.

Can I use a steam cleaner on my Swyft furniture?

Light steam cleaning may be suitable for some fabrics, provided the steam cleaner is used correctly and your fabric is compatible.

Always keep the steamer moving and avoid holding it too close to the fabric or allowing the nozzle to come into direct contact with the upholstery, as excessive heat and moisture can damage the fabric.

Before using a steam cleaner, check your sofa's fabric care guidance:
- Suitable with care: Velvet, Mottled Velvet and Linen fabrics may be lightly steamed, provided the steamer is used correctly and the care instructions are followed.
- Not recommended: Bouclé and Chenille should not be steam cleaned, as these fabrics require gentler cleaning methods and minimal moisture. We recommend spot cleaning or using a specialist upholstery cleaner where appropriate.

What weight can Swyft sofas support?

All sofas are tested to British Standards - 110 kg per seat. A 2-seater is rated to 220 kg total; a 3-seater to 330 kg total.

Are the fabric covers on Swyft sofas removable or washable?

No - fabric covers are fixed upholstery and are not removable or washable. Full replacement cushions (cover and fill together) are available in some fabrics that are live on our site - contact our team on support@swyfthome.com to enquire.

Do I need to be in to receive delivery?

Yes - someone must be present. You'll receive a 2-hour window the evening before, and the delivery team will call 30-60 minutes before arrival.

What warranty comes with Swyft products?

All sofas come with a 15-year frame warranty and a 2-year fabric warranty. These cover manufacturing faults — not accidental damage or misuse.
