Bedroom furnitue FAQs

Your bedroom furniture questions, answered.

What furniture should go in a bedroom?

It's your space, so we'd always encourage to furnish it how you want. But to help you get there, we'd recommend investing in:

  • A bed (including a mattress)
  • Bed linens
  • Lighting
  • A wardrobe
  • Bedside tables

Does all bedroom furniture have to match?

In short: No, it doesn't.

It all depends on what you want from your bedroom. Whilst matching furniture creates a more polished, coordinated look, mixing and matching materials, textures, and colours can be equally as effective.

What's the rule of thumb for bedside table height?

The average height for a nightstand is between 24 and 30 inches (2-2.5 ft). However, bedside tables are not a 'one size fits all'. So, look for a bedside table that sits 2-6 inches above or below the top edge of your mattress.
