It can be, provided the frame underneath is built for it. The Model 14's slim stainless steel legs sit on an engineered wood and solid wood frame with S-spring and webbing suspension, and every configuration is rigorously tested for strength, durability and safety.

It depends on the fabric. Velvet Charcoal, Velvet Kingfisher, Velvet Mustard, Velvet Teal and Velvet Vine all use an EasyClean stain-resistant treatment, and both linens, Linen Oatmeal and Linen Shadow, are finished with an anti-water treatment. Real Maple Leather isn't a stain-resistant fabric and is best cleaned with a damp cloth.
