Furnishing Futures Charity Page
We are a proud supporter of Furnishing Futures, a charity creating healing homes that bring hope and dignity to women and children who have escaped domestic abuse and been placed in empty social housing.
We support Furnishing Futures by giving ongoing support and donating furniture to Furnishing Futures HQ or directly to beneficiaries, including:
- Sofas, armchairs, occasional chairs, and ottoman
- Coffee tables, side tables, and TV unit
- Dining chairs, console tables, and throws
Every donation helps turn an empty property into a safe, welcoming home.
Who are Furnishing Futures?
Furnishing Futures creates healing homes that bring hope and dignity to women and children who have escaped domestic abuse and been placed in empty social housing.
They are able to do this thanks to high quality items donated by the interiors industry, which could otherwise have ended up in landfill.
Tackling Furniture Poverty
Furniture poverty is a devastating issue for more than 14 million people in the UK, and is a problem that is literally hidden behind closed doors.
Less than 2% of social housing comes furnished. For vulnerable women and children fleeing domestic abuse, being placed into empty social housing leaves them feeling worthless and compounds their trauma. Buying essential items is also a leading cause of debt for vulnerable families, keeping them in poverty.
Despite this, 22 million pieces of furniture end up in landfill every year, much of which is in new or as new condition.
This is why Furnishing Futures exists - a sustainable solution to two unsustainable problems.

The Atrium
We have also contributed to The Atrium, Furnishing Futures’ new events and sales space at their HQ in Leyton. Designed as a healing, inspiring environment, The Atrium will serve as a hub for community, sustainability, and women’s empowerment through hosting events, workshops, and collaborations with interiors and design leaders, all while supporting the women and children at the heart of the charity’s mission.
