Is there such a thing as a single sofa bed?

Yes - chair beds (or single sofa beds), like our model 08, are similar to normal sofa beds in every way apart from their smaller size. Single sofa beds are more compact and can usually unfold into a standard UK single when needed.

Is a daybed the same as a sofa bed?

No - a day bed is not the same as a sofa bed. Day beds cannot be folded away, and normally incorporate drawer storage underneath the mattress. Sofa beds can be used as both a sofa for seating and a bed, depending on what mode they’re put in.

Is a 2 seater sofa bed a double bed?

Yes - in most cases 2-seater sofa beds do fold out to the equivalent of a UK standard double size (135cm x 190cm), or close to this. If you’re after a specific size, it’s a good idea to check before ordering your 2-seater sofa bed. Our Model 08 2 seater does fold out to a standard UK double bed. We also have a 2.5-seater sofa bed that folds out to a standard king sized bed.

Are sofa beds less comfortable to sit on?
