Built on a solid and engineered wood frame, the Model 04 Sofa Bed is a 208cm three seater, with pulled buttons picked out on seat and back cushions. Front legs come in wenge finished beech, with black powder coated metal to the rear. There are no tools to find, only Swyft-Lok fastenings and a second pair of hands.

The seat rolls out on wheels, the back folds flat through the Swyft-Pin-Hinge system, and hidden legs drop from the seat to bear the weight. What you get is a full UK double measuring 190 by 135cm, plus side cushions that work as pillows. Seat and back together hold in excess of 300 pocket springs, with cushions at a sixty forty blend of fibre to crumb foam. Chenille Flax brings relaxed chenille with a soft, velvety surface and a pale, wheat-toned neutral. Sent out in two boxes.

The Model 04 is on the firmer side as a sofa. As a bed, it is well regarded for comfort.

Which fabrics work best on the Model 04 if I have pets?

No fabric is fully pet-proof. Velvet and boucle attract pet hair. Chenille and linen are easier to clean. Faux leather is the most resistant to scratches and pet hair. We recommend ordering swatches before deciding.

Is the Model 04 Sofa Bed available in a 2-seater version?

No - the Model 04 sofa bed is 3-seater only.

How does the Model 04 Sofa Bed mechanism work?

The Model 04 arrives flat-packed in two boxes and is designed for self-assembly. The backrest connects to the base using pins at each end, which need to click fully into place before use. We have the assembly instructions and video on the product page.

If the backrest doesn't stay in place during assembly, it's usually due to slight misalignment rather than a fault. If you're unsure or it continues, our support team will be happy to help.

Will the Model 04 Sofa Bed fit through a narrow hallway or up stairs?

The 2-box design means the longest piece is 195 cm - similar in length to a double mattress. The delivery team can unbox at the door and bring pieces in separately if needed. This is standard practice and access failures are rare.
