The Model 02 Armchair is built around mid-century styling, with piped detailing to the seat and back cushions, arms and back, and pulled stitch detailing worked into the seat cushion. It sits on a solid wood plinth with legs in a wenge finish, over a solid and engineered wood frame. Assembly uses Swyft-Lok fastenings and no tools.

The seat cushion is layered from two thicknesses of foam with a fibre wrap, and the back cushions are 60% hollow fibre to 40% crumb foam. Velvet Petrol is a soft, durable velvet with minimal movement and stain free technology, reading as a deep blue green with a dark teal undertone. It arrives in two boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the seat cushions on the Model 02 Sofa reversible?

The seat cushions can be rotated 180 degrees end-to-end to even out wear, but are not designed to be flipped top-to-bottom. The base is solid/slatted rather than sprung.

Are the bolster cushions on the Model 02 Sofa fixed or removable?

The bolster cushions are loose - they simply rest on the sofa and can be removed freely if you prefer.

Does the Model 02 Sofa come in a narrow depth version?

No - we don't currently offer a narrow depth version of the Model 02 Sofa. All configurations are designed with a standard depth to ensure comfort and support.

Can I use a steam cleaner on my Swyft furniture?

Light steam cleaning may be suitable for some fabrics, provided the steam cleaner is used correctly and your fabric is compatible.

Always keep the steamer moving and avoid holding it too close to the fabric or allowing the nozzle to come into direct contact with the upholstery, as excessive heat and moisture can damage the fabric.

Before using a steam cleaner, check your sofa's fabric care guidance:
- Suitable with care: Velvet, Mottled Velvet and Linen fabrics may be lightly steamed, provided the steamer is used correctly and the care instructions are followed.
- Not recommended: Bouclé and Chenille should not be steam cleaned, as these fabrics require gentler cleaning methods and minimal moisture. We recommend spot cleaning or using a specialist upholstery cleaner where appropriate.

What weight can Swyft sofas support?

All sofas are tested to British Standards - 110 kg per seat. A 2-seater is rated to 220 kg total; a 3-seater to 330 kg total.

Care Instructions

Spot clean as you go. Stains will usually lift with water, and a stubborn mark may need a little household soap.

Do not wash, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.

Iron at medium heat if needed.

Dry clean only, professional gentle process.

Light steaming is possible if the steamer is kept moving and never held against the fabric, since heat and moisture can damage the pile.

Stain treatment: Easy Clean.

Keep it out of direct sunlight to protect the colour.
