The Bed 05 reads as architectural at a glance, then softens at the headboard. The structure runs from a solid oak headboard frame, through veneered back slats, fabric strap and brass attachment detail and side rails, down to feet in solid oak. Raised side rails recess the mattress for a tucked-in look and a secure fit, and rounded corners run along the headboard frame and legs. A durable engineered wood slat base sits under the mattress, and assembly is simple enough for two people with the hardware supplied. Rigorous strength, durability and safety testing sits behind the design, and packaging is tested in-house to withstand transit.

Choose Velvet Vine and the headboard turns a deep, dark forest green, warm to lean against and rich in colour. Walnut stain gives the oak a deeper tone, with natural grain variation across each frame. Two boxes keep the delivery manageable, and a 180 x 200cm mattress is what the recessed rails are built around.

Regular care for Velvet Vine is a soft brush vacuum attachment and a light pass with a damp cloth. Treat marks by blotting, dabbing with clean water and mild soap, and drying fully in the air. Keep it clear of direct sunlight to preserve the colour. The care label prohibits washing, bleaching and tumble drying and asks for a gentle dry clean. An EasyClean finish and 100,000 Martindale rubs make it a practical pick.
