Everything about the Bed 05 is deliberate: straight framing, and a headboard upholstered for comfort. Upholstery sits inside a solid oak headboard frame with fabric straps flowing over the top of the frame and being secured by a brass button detail, white oak veneer slats close the back, and veneered rails and a footboard rest on solid oak feet. The mattress sinks into a recessed frame, secured by rails set above the slats, while rounded corners on the legs mirror the headboard. Durable engineered wood slats hold the mattress up, and the frame is put together by two people using the hardware pack in the box. The packaging is tested in-house to withstand transit; the bed is put through rigorous strength, durability and safety testing.

For the headboard, Linen Oatmeal: a warm, neutral oatmeal beige, gentle against the surrounding wood. The frame takes a walnut stain, and being natural timber, its grain varies from one bed to the next. The bed comes in two boxes for easier access indoors, and takes a 180 x 200cm mattress.

Care Instructions

Use a soft brush vacuum attachment on Linen Oatmeal and wipe it over with a barely damp cloth. Any mark should be blotted first, then treated with clean water and a mild soap solution on a cloth, and left to dry naturally. Strong, direct sunlight will fade the fabric, so position the bed accordingly. An anti-water (C0) treatment and 40,000 Martindale rubs make it a practical everyday choice.
