Modern European design shapes the Bed 05, with a structured frame and an upholstered back panel. White oak veneer covers the headboard's slatted back, the side rails and the footboard, all anchored by a solid oak frame and solid oak feet. Fabric straps gently reach over the top of the headboard giving the appearance of holding the headboard in place with a brass button. The bed holds its mattress in a recess between rails that sit above the slat base, with rounded corners softening the frame and the legs. The slats are durable engineered wood, and the bed is assembled by two, using the hardware pack that comes with it. In-house tests confirm the packaging withstands transit, and the bed is tested rigorously for strength, durability and safety.

Leather Maple gives the headboard its surface, a warm, mid-tone tan brown with a natural, lived-in feel. Between the walnut-stained wood and the real leather, slight variation in grain and colour is natural and expected. It ships in two boxes for easy access into the home, with a 180 x 200cm mattress the size to confirm before it arrives.

Care for Leather Maple is simple: dust it, or wipe it over with a slightly damp cloth. Any marks can be dabbed with a clean cloth, water and mild soap, then left to air dry fully. Sunlight is the thing to avoid, as it can crack or discolour leather over time. This leather isn't stain resistant and has no Martindale rating, so consider Guardsman Furniture Protection against spills.
