A modern European silhouette describes the form of Bed 05, where clean structural lines carry a cushioned headboard. The upholstered pad is held in a solid oak frame, backed by white oak veneer slats and delicate fabric straps and brass detail providing beautifully considered finish. The side rails and footboard carry that same veneer onto solid oak feet. Side rails raised above the slat base give the mattress a recess to sit in, and the rounded corners on the legs mirror the headboard's soft shape. The slat support system is made from durable engineered wood, and putting the bed together is a simple, familiar two-person job. Strength, durability and safety are all rigorously tested, and packaging is tested in-house to withstand transit.

The pad up top is finished in Velvet Vine, a deep, dark forest green that adds depth against the wood. The walnut stain deepens the oak, and because the wood is natural, no two frames carry exactly the same grain. Two boxes keep delivery manageable through hallways and stairs. A 135 x 190cm mattress will sit correctly inside the recessed rails.

Velvet Vine needs little more than a soft brush vacuum head and an occasional wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Marks should be blotted, then dabbed with clean water and a little mild soap, and left to air dry fully. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade the pile. The care label specifies no washing, bleaching or tumble drying, and a gentle, professional dry clean only. It's EasyClean treated and rated to 100,000 Martindale rubs.
