Swyft x Morris & Co: The Collection Just Got Bigger

A year ago, we launched our first collection with Morris & Co. It went down rather well, so we're back with round two: four new archive prints, now living on some of our best-loved pieces.

If you missed the first drop, the idea is simple. Morris & Co has been making some of the most recognisable patterns in British design since 1861. We've taken four of those prints and put them on Swyft furniture that still goes together in minutes, no tools required. Proper heritage design, without the wait or the price tag of an antique.

The four new prints

Pimpernel is the one to reach for if you want a statement. A deep burgundy ground carries oversized terracotta blooms and trailing sage green stems, scattered with small cream flowers. It's one of the boldest prints in the range, so let it do the talking and keep everything else around it plain.

Seasons by May is the most detailed of the four: two ornate parakeets face each other across a canopy of roses and tulips on a rich brick red ground, held together by a pale trellis of curling stems. Give it room to breathe, on a bed, an armchair, or a cushion rather than covering an entire sofa.

Wandle goes darker. Large, layered blooms in cream and ochre sit against an ink-blue ground, with a fine ditsy floral filling in behind. It's the moodiest print in the collection, more autumn evening than summer garden.

Arbutus is the quiet one: branches, tan leaves and small clusters of deep red berries on soft cream. Less a floral statement, more a neutral you can build a whole room around.

All four are velvet, treated for water resistance, and best looked after with a professional dry clean rather than a wash.

Where to find them

Sofas and corner sofas

The Model 02 collection is where the range runs deepest: loveseat, 2-seater, 3-seater, armchair and ottoman, all built on a solid wood plinth with the pulled-seam and piped detailing that makes Model 02 instantly recognisable. Want more room to stretch out? The ottoman also pairs with the sofa as a left- or right-hand chaise, in the 2 Seater Sofa with Ottoman, the 3 Seater Sofa with Ottoman, or paired with the armchair as the Chaise Longue.

A smaller sofa, if that's what you need. The Model 05 Loveseat is the compact option in the collection, on tapered wenge-finish front legs with black metal back legs, and a foam seat over zig-zag springs for a bit of give.

Sofa beds

The Model 08 range is built for spare rooms and smaller living rooms, folding out from sofa to bed with no tools and no fuss. It comes in three sizes: the Chair Bed for a single, the 2 Seater for a double, and the 2.5 Seater for a king, all on the same solid turned beech legs with a wenge finish.

Beds

Bed 02 brings the same prints to an elegantly curved, winged headboard on a solid wood plinth with tapered legs, in Double, King and Super King.

Storage ottomans

All three sizes get the new prints: the largest, rectangular Storage 02, the round Storage 01, and the compact Storage 03, each with a removable lid for hiding away whatever needs hiding. Browse the full storage ottoman collection to compare sizes side by side.

Occasional chairs

Chair 01 and Chair 03 both come in Wandle for this launch, solid wood frames with a mid-tone stain, no assembly required, straight out of the box and into the room.

Cushion 01

The easiest way into the collection. Cushion 01 has the same piped seam detailing as the sofas, in an easy-to-clean fabric, whether you're dressing a plain sofa or adding one more note of pattern to the mix.
