At Swyft, we’ve developed two designs that tick all the boxes. In this guide, we’ll go through the differences between them, so you can choose which one is right for you and your space.

Model 04

Style

Model 04 is the first sofa bed we designed, and it’s still one of our most popular models to date. It’s got a mid-century modern look, with our signature tapered wooden legs and added pulled-button detailing on the back cushions. On the sides, we’ve added rounded-edge rectangular cushions for extra comfort when you’re using it as a sofa.

Comfort

Your sofa bed shouldn’t compromise on comfort - both in sofa and bed mode. We’ve designed the Model 04 sofa bed with foam-filled cushions for a spring-back feel that doesn’t need hours of plumping. Integrated into the mattress base is a combination of pocket springs and foam, making the Model 04 just as snooze-worthy as any double bed.

How it works

Model 04 comes with Swyft-lok technology as standard, which means you can assemble it with no tools in less than 10 minutes. With a simple pull-out mechanism, Model 04 makes sleepovers stress-free. The Model 04 transforms into a bed by lifting the seat cushion, unzipping the hidden supporting legs and pulling the seat cushion forward. After this, the back flips down and your sofa bed is ready for snoozing within seconds.

Sizes

Model 04 comes in a 3-seater size that folds into a UK double bed (135cm x 190cm). It’s delivered in boxed parts that are guaranteed to fit through even the tightest doorways.

Model 08

Style

As the second sofa bed we designed, Model 08 has been made super versatile in its style. This sofa bed references classic design with a clean, modern shape. We’ve added stitching details to the cushion corners for a timeless look that’s classic in shape. On the front, Model 08 features our signature tapered legs.

Comfort

Comfort was high on the list when we designed Model 08. We’ve developed a foam fibre filling that’s super comfortable and applied the same pocket spring design to Model 08’s mattress as we did with Model 04. It doesn’t need lots of plumping, and it has a spring-back quality that guests love.

How it works

Model 08 also comes with Swyft-lok technology as standard, which means you can assemble it with no tools in less than 10 minutes. The pull-out mechanism is a little different than the Model 04. Model 08’s back and seat cushions are connected, whilst the back stays up to create a handy mini headboard. The seat cushion pulls out via a fabric tab, which can then be lowered down onto pull-out supportive legs. Changing Model 08 from a sofa to a sofa bed takes seconds, so there’s even more time for snoozing.

Model 08 comes in 3 sizes, so you can find one that suits even the smallest of spaces. It’s delivered in boxed parts that are guaranteed to fit through even the tightest doorways.

The Model 02 sofa bed is also an option for mid-century lovers. The sofa bed is identical to the sofa design; same pulled-seam detailing, bolster cushions, piped edges, and wooden plinth.
