A Amber Howells

Looking for something to stream that entertains while sparking ideas for your next home refresh? Look no further. We’ve put together a list of six of our favourite TV series so far this year that feature eye-catching buildings and interiors. Whether you’re planning a full renovation or just want to update your decor, find out how to incorporate the style of these shows into your own home.

1. The White Lotus: Season 3

The third instalment of the satirical dark comedy-drama The White Lotus takes us to Thailand, with themes of spirituality, greed, and revenge woven throughout. Guests stay at a luxury Thai resort for a week of relaxation that goes as well as you can expect from writer and director Mike White. The star-studded cast includes Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins, and Natasha Rothwell.

Filming primarily took place at Koh Samui's Four Seasons Resort, where the hillside villas reflect the traditional southern Thai architectural style. The beautiful interiors feature rosewood furniture, natural woven materials, statement lamps, bold prints and patterns, and a colour palette that focuses on soothing warm neutrals, whites, greens, and blues. Channel the tropical aesthetic in your own space with botanical-print cushions or a piece of furniture from the new Swyft x Morris & Co. collection. For an effortlessly serene look, try a blue sofa paired with a tonal rug.

2. Andor: Season 2

Meanwhile, in a galaxy far, far away, the second and final season of Andor is as visually striking as it is gripping. Despite being part of the Star Wars franchise, seasons one and two of Andor work as a standalone story, following the titular character, Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. The writing is grittier and more serious than that of other Star Wars content, making it great for fans of espionage and political thrillers.

The empire’s Brutalist architecture and modern sterile interiors are starkly contrasted with the city of Ghorman’s elegant European aesthetic and the Mothma Estate, located on the planet Chandrila. The Mothma Estate was influenced by nature-inspired minimalist Scandi architecture and traditional stone castles in Japan – think warm, earthy tones, curved lines, and organic materials. Bring this sense of calm to your home with the rounded Olsen Ridge Rug by Swyft, made from textured cream-coloured wool, and pair it with the soft, clean lines of Swyft’s Occasional Chair 04. In your dining room, choose a round dining table in a warm wood tone, like Swyft’s Dining Table 02, and mirror its shape with a set of curved-frame dining chairs.

3. The Studio

Chaotic and hilarious, this satirical comedy follows Seth Rogen in the role of Matt Remick, as he tries to balance creative ambition with the business needs of a Hollywood film studio that’s fighting for survival. The stellar cast, which includes comedy legends Catherine O'Hara and Kathryn Hahn, is joined by a who’s who of cameos by the likes of Greta Lee, Zoë Kravitz, Bryan Cranston, and Martin Scorsese, to name a few.

From mid-century apartments to a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Mayan Revival-style office, The Studio drips with golden-age glamour. Add some LA cool to your living room with the mid-century-inspired Occasional Chair 01 by Swyft, and pair it with the Chair 03 Ottoman, Side Table 01 in Walnut, and a directional lamp to create the ultimate reading nook.

4. Sirens

Power and wealth come out to play in the ominous drama Sirens, starring Milly Alcock and Meghann Fahy as estranged sisters Simone and Devon. Simone works on the sprawling estate of a super-rich couple, played by Julianne Moore and Kevin Bacon.

The estate, with its nautical palette of blues and whites, light wood tones, and rustic decor, oozes New England sophistication and coastal charm. Simone’s accommodation is more joyful with deep pink walls and bold floral wallpaper. Feeling inspired? Add a splash of colour to your home with a mustard-yellow armchair, an orange sofa, and a vibrant rug for a dose of maximalist fun.

5. Poker Face: Season 2

Natasha Lyonne is back as human lie detector Charlie Cale in season two of the quirky comedy series Poker Face. Each episode features new characters and a mysterious crime for Cale to solve (reluctantly so at times).

While not every setting screams ‘interior design inspiration’, episode nine is an exception. It centres around a stylish penthouse apartment in New York that blends timeless, eclectic decor with lived-in comfort. A burgundy and off-white living room features neutral armchairs, a swirl-and-floral-print sofa, and a patterned rug in muted blues and reds, all anchored by an octagonal wood coffee table. Bring personality to your own space with layered textures, unique artwork, and well-placed personal touches for a homely feel.

6. The Bear: Season 4

Expect the usual nail-biting intensity and slow, tender moments in culinary comedy-drama The Bear season four, featuring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The show follows fine-dining chefs in Chicago as they deal with personal battles and butt heads at work.

While exquisitely presented food is the main visual focus, we couldn’t help but admire the beautiful Japandi-inspired eatery. Recreate this warm minimalist style in your dining room with Swyft’s Dining Table 01 in Oak and Dining Bench 01 in Maple Leather. Set the scene with ambient lighting, a vase of fresh flowers, and candles for an inviting, cosy dining experience.
