We’re finalists in the SBID Product Design Awards for the Furniture - Residential category - and we’re over the moon about it. The Model 01 collection has been shortlisted for the awards which recognises product design excellence across multiple categories.
The power is in your hands
The final stage of the judging process requires a little help from you. Voting is now open to the public, so if you like what we do, please hit 'vote'. It's as simple as putting a Swyft sofa together.
Please. We'd be extremely grateful.
(Hurry, the polls close on September 30th.)
Why we entered
We believe the Swyft-lok technology we engineered is the leader in the flatpack upholstery space. It’s changing the way we purchase sofas; by reducing boundaries, lead times and upholding the quality you’d receive from a ‘normal’ sofa.
We live in the era of ‘Prime’ where next day delivery is expected, so why can’t that be true with sofas. In short, we’re redefining “flatpack” one sofa at a time.
A little more about the awards
SBID is an organisation which is classed as “the leading global awards for interior design”, so it’s exciting to be a part of such a prestigious group of awards. The products entered into the awards are judged on their “design excellence” in the interior environment and span a multitude of categories; outdoors, brassware, commercial furniture, lighting, kitchen design, metal work and leisure to name but a few.
Before opening to the public, the awards were judged by an international panel of industry experts with backgrounds in interior design, architecture, development and branding.
The judging panel consisted of (amongst others):
- David Chang, Design Director
- Karim Rashid, Designer
- Katherine Polley, CEO
- Letitia Fitzgibbon, Head of Interior Design at Harrods
- Vasiliki Petro, Unilever Prestige
- Tim Bowder-Ridger, Senior Partner at Conran & Partners
- Henry Reeve, Interior Design at IHG
