Ever wondered what goes into creating the perfect dining experience? We sat down with the designer behind our Dining Table 02 and Dining Chair 02, André, to get the scoop on our latest dining addition.

What inspired you to design Dining Table 02 and Dining Chair 02?

Dining Table 02 and Chair 02 were inspired by classic mid-century forms, reimagined with softer lines and subtle details. The goal was to create warm, timeless pieces that feel familiar, but quietly refined.

Talk us through the design process – what trials and tribulations did you run into, if any?

A key part of the process was designing the chair and table as a pair — not just visually, but functionally. The chair needed to tuck in perfectly under the table, especially in a compact 4-person setting.

That meant carefully coordinating seat height, leg placement, and proportions to ensure everything fits comfortably and moves well together. It’s a subtle relationship, but it makes all the difference in daily use.

What was your favourite part of the design process?

My favourite part was fine-tuning the details — those small adjustments that make the design feel just right.

What are some unique features of dining table 02 and dining chair 02 that customers might not notice right away?

The soft curves of the table and chair echo each other, creating a subtle visual harmony. Also, the table legs are placed to fit the chairs perfectly — no bumping or squeezing, just smooth daily use.

What are your top 3 must-have features for a dining table and chair?

Comfort – The chair has to support you well, even during long meals.

Proportions – The table and chairs need to fit together naturally, with enough space to move.

Durability  – Solid materials that can handle daily use, but still feel refined.
