Sofa beds have a rep for being bulky and uncomfortable, but this needn’t be the case. Combine the Model 04 with a cloud of Bedfolk bedding and you’re on to a sure-fire winner. The only problem will be getting your guests to leave.
We teamed up with Bedfolk to give us a quick guide on how to be the hostess with the mostest when guests stay. So, without further ado:
Layer 1: Pick a colour
Your duvet cover and pillowcases are the starting point to an Instagram-worthy sofa bed, so opt for mellow colours that you can easily change up with additional layers such as quilts and throws. You can’t go wrong with white.
Layer 2: Pillows
Limp and flat pillows are the type that have us toss and turning in the night, so make sure you invest in good quality, plump marshmallow pillows that will give your guests that ‘ahh’ feeling when they get into bed.
If you really want to up the comfort factor, invest in a pair of square pillows – perfect for propping guests up whilst they’re reading in bed or that first morning cuppa poured by the perfect host.
Layer 3: Duvet cover
To make your sofa bed look and feel like a cloud, we advise sizing up on the duvet cover (opt for a king size cover rather than a double). Why? No more duvet hogging and perfect for snugging up and having a duvet day on the sofa of course.
Layer 4: Quilt or throw
Since we take comfort and duvet days seriously, no sofa bed is complete without an oversized quilt or throw.
Drape over the end of the sofa bed for a seriously squishy vibe or fold at the end of the sofa bed for hotel-esque feel. Whatever your hosting style, your guests will be sinking into a cloud of comfort in no time.
If you're ready to turn your sofa bed into the guest bed of dreams, head over to Bedfolk before turning your eye to the Model 04 collection. Alongside the Model 04, we also have a mid-century style sofa bed, a contemporary chair bed, and a king-sized sofa bed. So much choice.
